This beach was named after a famous story well-known among the locals. It's a fascinating tale about a French pirate named Juan the Hermit, who one day landed on this beach, remaining completely alone and isolated from the rest of the world.
Around the year 1780, after nearly 22 years of complete solitude, he was discovered by his former shipmates who had believed him to be dead.
His story moved the locals and the Spanish authorities on the island, who pardoned him for all the misdeeds he had committed during his time as a corsair.
But surely, Juan the Hermit didn't have such a bad time in this earthly paradise of crystal-clear waters, white sands, and gentle waves, which is practically a natural swimming pool. Additionally, it contrasts with cliffs and mountains with abundant vegetation, making it a sanctuary of peace and relaxation, far from the great metropolises.
